A communing church

#1.) We take communion, because Jesus asked us to remember him in this way.

a.) The blood is described as "of the new covenant"

b.) The blood is described "which is poured out for many"

c.) The blood is described "for the forgiveness of sin."

#2.) We take communion weekly because the New Testament believers committed themselves to it weekly.

 

WHEN SHOULD WE NOT TAKE COMMUNION:

1.) With the wrong motivation

2.) Without self-reflection

3.) When you're not focused on the sacrifice of Jesus.
